“NEVER…NEVER…NEVER GIVE UP…”
…We were born to win, and our Lord didn’t give up on us.
Can you imagine if our Lord had changed his mind about dying on the Cross for us? Actually looked down at us and said; “Father, why die for them? Their hearts are clearly devoted to living in the world, and where their hearts are is where their true love is.” What a staggering thought. Where would we be today if on his way to Calvary he just stopped and said; “No, they’re not worth it…I give up.” I couldn’t imagine. But he didn’t give up in spite the beating, insults, rejections, even death on the Cross. Where the world sees peasants, thieves, imperfections, the poor, our God sees joint heir kings and queens, pastors, preachers, teachers, men and women of faith, prophets and healers…a Holy Nation, a royal priesthood…this is who we are. We are a chosen people that represent the Kingdom of Heaven in enemy territory. The enemy tried to persuade our Lord from dying for us and failed, and now that same “spirit of the enemy” works through the world to wage war on those who believe, throwing every device known to man for us to become discouraged, disappointed, lose hope, and shatter our faith. However, that will not happen, not as long as today is called today, because we know that it states in Philippians 1:6; “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Do we really know how very blessed we are? We have the Almighty God of all creation on our side…whom shall we fear? More so, who believes in us as His people, His chosen nation, whom shall we be afraid of? “Wherefore he saith, when he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.” Ephesians 4:8. He has prepared us for this, those of us He foreknew, called and predestined, not because we are some “good” people, but because of His amazing grace and unconditional love for us. My brothers and sisters, at times I am sadden by how divided we have become as the body of Christ. I have visited different churches, listened to many Pastors and Preachers, observed many denominations and often am reminded of Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 1:13; “Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?” We all have our interpretations of how the Word of God ministers to us depending on what we’re going through at the moment. However, God is not a God of confusion, but a God of order and the same Spirit in all working through all. The body of Christ is unified…one body, one mind, one heart and Spirit. When we are unsure of an interpretation of the Word, we aren’t to open the doors for the enemy to separate us, but come together prayerfully and ask for wisdom and God will graciously give us what we ask for that we may continue to press forward as a body with the same accord for his glory, not break rank and decided to open another congregation because we can’t agree on scriptures…that’s the work of the enemy. If I can divide you, then you are weak and there is no real power or evidence of the Spirit’s power. Amen. When I think of words like “revival” I can only see we as a chosen people of God returning to that faith of old as in the days of Pentecost when all was of one accord and the Spirit came with such power and evidence of the Kingdom of heaven and thousands repentant and was saved, because they believed. This is that call today beginning with the house of God to return to that faith that we may see the Kingdom of our Lord and miracles before our eyes. Hosea 4:6 states that; “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Therefore let us not lean on our own understanding, but humbly approach the throne of grace and ask God for guidance…ask and you will receive. Our Lord may it very clear in John 15:5; “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” Let not the enemy cause us to become prideful, or arrogant in our heart, but humble in loving one another and encouraging one another as we move faith to and glory to glory. We are in this battle together, for those who cannot fight for themselves, for those who are held captive by the enemy, for the blind, for the lost. I believe now I understand Paul’s words when he stated; “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,” Let us have this attitude as we press on. You are Kings and Queens and I am most grateful to my Lord for allowing me to be a part of such a great people whom I love with all the love given by God. We no longer compromise our position in this land of the shadow of death, or compromise with sin, bargaining with the enemy as one without hope or faith. We stand for a greater cause not of this world, but for a heavenly kingdom and for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Never Give Up!!! May the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob watch over you, protect you and keep you and your households safe underneath the shadow of his wings and bless you beyond measure as we move forward into a New Year with a new faith, love and hope and eyes set and watchful. One Body, One Mind, One Heart, One Spirit…and Never, Never, Never Give Up!!! God bless.
REMEMBER!!! Go take a peek at the novel if you haven’t yet. “Battlefield of Angels” It’s a glimpse at spiritual warfare around us and rate this. Though fictional in content many of the events are realand a shadow of my life.
