“AGAINST ALL ODDS”
True story: I remember being alone in my room and getting down on my knees and began to pray. Moved in spirit I prayed about things that concerned me at this time and troubles I had been facing; a very trying time in my life. I went on about specific things, how to face them, decisions I should make, etc…, but as I stated, I was alone…so I thought. I remember ending that prayer with; “Lord Jesus, please don’t pass me by.” Two weeks later I went to a church service and really did not know anyone there, including the Pastor. I listened to the message and he started to stare at me as I sat there in the front row, and he continued to speak. He paused again and looked at me then continued, which at first I thought was a little strange. Then he stopped and looked at me and pointed and called me by my name, which he did not know and said; “Daniel, the Lord said he has not passed you by, that Satan desires to sift you like wheat (basically asking to attack me), but he is in the middle praying for you, that when he created you he broke the mold.” Perhaps you can imagine the look on my face hearing this prophetic message; the tears began to fall from my eyes and all I could say was “Why me?” Well I understand more now than I did back then, however what was more incredible was the fact that somebody was listening and watching and believe me this is not the first spiritual experience that has been part of my life, but more than some 15 years and still going. Can you image having your name spoken of in the throne room God? I don’t share any of this to be considered something great or special, I’m a sinner saved by God’s amazing grace, just as any of my brothers and sisters are. I’m not here to convince the world around me that what I say or share is real, that’s not my job, however, I am here to encourage my brothers and sisters in the walk of faith, to represent our true home, the Kingdom of our Lord, to shine light on what takes place around us that we may or may not be aware of as we continue to sharpen each other in our faith. The Apostle Paul says; “Let each man seek out his own salvation with trembling and fear.” And again states; “If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.” I can’t say it enough that spiritual warfare is real, our enemy is a real created being searching for prey, and that prey is the children of God and he’s not alone, however, neither are we. Amen. Yes I’m the author of “Battlefield of Angels”, and yes I write fiction in content, but the events in the novel are real experiences that passed, a shadow of my life, however I write with the hopes that it would open eyes to many to return and get rooted in God’s word and stand firm no matter what, the eyes of heaven are upon us.
