“Shrinking back out of fear doesn’t mean that we failed …

…it means we’re only human and God isn’t done with us yet.

“Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
We’re all aware that fear paralyzes faith as children of God, but what is it that causes us to fear in the first place? The uncertainties of life…? “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” … “So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:25-34. I’m no exception to the rule, I’ve shrunk back more than I’ve walked in victory and I’ve learned many things during this process of growing up and one that stands out the most is the fact that I had been trying to find a way to make God’s plan fit into my lifestyle, instead of my life fitting into God’s plans for me. This was the biggest struggle in my life. It was being afraid to let go of the world of things and trust God…”Having a form of Godliness, but denying its power.” For me personally this was what I called suffering “shipwreck faith.” However, our Lord is faithful even when we are not, and so it states that; “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6. And again…; “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” Zachariah 4:6. Faith… is our most powerful weapon against fear and being human we will experience it more often than we wish, but we MUST come to terms within our inner most being that we serve a living God, a risen King and Lord who has not abandoned us to some foreign land as if unforgotten…No! “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” Deut.31:6 and “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5. We have the promises of God and this is what we stand on without doubt, without compromise, and without fear. Therefore, having said this let us as a spiritual family built up in Christ Jesus our Lord press on forward being confident that He who raised our Lord and Savior from the dead is able to do more than we as human being could possibly fathom stand firm facing that “spirit of fear” knowing that we who confess Him and believe in Him will receive whatever we ask in His name. “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6. Let us be like minded, of the same heart and Spirit that is in all and work through all for the glory of God and make our calling sure. May the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob continue to watch over you, protect you and bless everything you do and touch in Jesus name… Amen.
