“ASSURED FAITH…”
“…CALLS GOD INTO ACTION.”
The experience of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego is by far one of my favorite stories of men of faith in the book of Daniel, Chapter 3:1-30, besides that of Daniel in the lion’s den. Do we as believing Christians exercise such faith these days? And if not, what limits us? In my opinion I would have to say there are many circumstances, but only a select few comes to mind. I believe in our surroundings; society, communities, etc… we’ve been taught that the opinions of others and how they view us as people more so as children of God often causes us to shrink back from proclaiming that which we were called and predestined to become and do…preach the Gospel in or out of season, and become more Christ like exercising that mustard seed faith within us based on their view of us as individuals. The enemy has a role in this when toying with the mind (where the battle is) causing us to feel inadequate and with lack of confidence to press boldly in the name of our Lord Jesus, thus releasing that God given faith that sits dormant inside of ALL believers, no matter babe in Christ or mature in the Word. Another could be not fully surrendered in the hands of the living God, because face it, the flesh has a hard time trying to accept the things of God when it desires the things in the present world, therefore we struggle with trying to hold on to just a piece of us without realizing that Scriptures states in Luke 17:33; “Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.” It’s all or nothing, but not lukewarm. Also how the world love to attack the children of God at random and some may shrink back feeling they’re not knowledgeable, enough to deal with what may or may not transpire in the course of standing on the Word of God, or even defending the Word of God knowing that in 1 Corinthians 2:16; “For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” and 2 Corinthians 10:4 “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds (arguments that raises itself up against the Word of God) Amen… just to name a few. We tend to forget Scripture at times such as these not fully realizing that we are already complete with what we need, the ONLY problems is our devotion to studying the Word of God to become more and more like the people of God, God truly called us to be. Amen. Such as Romans 8:15; “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” and 2 Timothy 1:7; “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” The “spirit of fear” has been the cause of much of this “shrinking back” or not surrendering completely in the hands of God. Here we see faith unyielding, uncompromising even until death. A faith that God responds to, because we know that Hebrews 11:6; “But without faith it is impossible to please Him. For he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” What more can I say to this my dear brothers and sisters…., if we TRULY believe in the All knowing, All powerful, All mighty God of All creation, the living and Holy God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, then we also know that we know that we know…”If God is for us, who can be against us.” Let us rid ourselves of this “spirit of fear” by our faith in Him who raised our Lord and Savior from the grave, realizing that this SAME Spirit works in those that believe in Christ Jesus as Lord, Savior and Redeemer. Therefore let us move forward in 2014, a New Year, a renewed faith, one voice, one body, one heart and mind witnessing true miracles happen in the name of Jesus. May God bless you and keep you in Jesus name. Amen.
REMEMBER!!! Go take a peek at the novel if you haven’t yet. “Battlefield of Angels” It’s a glimpse at spiritual warfare around us and rate this. Though fictional in content many of the events are realand a shadow of my life.
