…IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN REALIZED.

1 Corinthians 5

“For we know that if our earthly house, this tent (the body), is destroyed, we have a building (heavenly body) from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.  For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven,  if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked.  For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” The Apostle Paul couldn’t have said it any better when he made the statement in 1 Corinthians 15:19; “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” This is a walk of faith for those of us whom God has foreknown, called, predestined, to be conformed into the likeness of His one and only Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We know that; “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1. “In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,” 2 Timothy 2:12. When we begin to realize who we are in Christ, our identity, and begin to be transformed by the Word of God (for the mind) and Spirit of God (transforming the inner man), then we can begin setting our eyes and hearts on the things above; “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33. Then we can start seeing beyond these things that are temporal and be about God’s business. Then we see that our calling by the Lord was not in vain, His dying on the Cross for us was not in vain. We begin to see with spiritual eyes those placed in our lives are blessings and the communities that we live in you are that bee-ken of light shining in darkness. We will begin to forgive those that wish harm for us, speak unfriendly about us and listen to those that are dear to us from our hearts. Lift those up around us more than ourselves and encourage those who struggle to strive forward, because this walk of faith demands that. We see things afar from a heavenly perspective that many can’t see or understand. What did our Lord say at when they were nailing Him to the Cross?  Then said Jesus; “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.”  Luke 23:34. “So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh–for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die(the body); but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.…” Romans 8:12, 13. No more shall we struggle to find our way, our way is set before us. It’s when we begin to take those steps of faith and leave the rest up to God that we begin to see miracles of old, revivals before our eyes, healings and not shrinking back from our callings, but making our callings sure as a soldier in the army of the living God. A renewed hope, a new faith, a new way to love, and a new way of seeing things as this New Year ushers its way in. Amen. So therefore I leave you with my baptism speech some years ago; Galatians 2:20;  “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”  As we move forward in faith, let us realize that our Lord is alive…our God is the same God yesterday, today, and forever; that we are part of the body of Christ. That there is one Spirit that works in all and through all and we recommit ourselves for this New Year, God will, embrace those things unseen, by faith no longer having a form of Godliness and denying its power, but giving the enemy something to truly worry about and that is; that we are children of the living God and as a body we have work to do without compromise. God’s will shall as we move from faith to faith and glory to glory. Amen and God bless.
