The Hebrew word (pronounced) ee-shone, means little man of the eye, meaning the reflection of someone seen in a pupil. The word is used twice, once for The Lord’s careful observance of His people, and the other for what makes His people, His people – that they keep obedience to Him as the apple of their eye: “For The Lord’s portion is His people, Jacob [for why The Lord changed Jacob’s name to Israel, see Physical and Spiritual Israel] His allotted heritage. He found him in a desert land, and in the howling waste of the wilderness; He encircled himHe cared for himHe kept him as the apple [ee-shone] of His eye” (Deuteronomy 32:9-10 RSV) “My son, keep My Words and treasure up My Commandments with you; keep My Commandments and live, keep My teachings as the apple [ee-shone] of your eye; bind them on your fingers, write them on the tablet of your heart.” (Proverbs 7:1-3 RSV)

Having shared that, let me say this; Has the Lord has protected, sheltered, and cared for His people with ALL His love (Us) as the apple of His eye, ought we not to give that same love in return to such a wonderful Father; to love thy Lord thy God with ALL our might,ALL our soul, and with All our heart? Many of hold things above the Lord our God, be it family, work, materialism, wife, children, you name it. Just about anything can become a ”god” above the one and only true God if we’re not careful to stay grounded in the Word and realize as Job where ALL things come from. Putting the Lord first and obeying the Word of God keeps us in step with the Holy Spirit, and then therefore we are walking in the will of God as we ought to be, and not designing our walk around the Word of God as we want it to be. There is a right and wrong way and it is time that we matured in the Word and truly become that light of the Lord in this dark place, for we are Ambassadors of Christ in enemy territory…a light born to shine in darkness; “ ” Hebrews 5:12-14  Even as I write this, I’m moved in spirit to do the same, so allow me to be the first to place my head on the chopping block, for I am guilty of such complacency of not exercising the faith and maturity that is within me and given me as a gift from God. So as we move forward, let us be reminded of the true apple of our eye and as the Apostle Paul stated: “examine yourself to see if you are indeed in the faith.” And may God continue to mature, protect, and keep you as the apple of His eye as our Lord Jesus complete the work which He began in you since the beginning that NOTHING shall be lacking, as He is the author and finisher of our faith. God bless.

REMEMBER!!! Go take a peek at the novel if you haven’t yet. “Battlefield of Angels” It’s a glimpse at spiritual warfare around us and rate this. Though fictional in content many of the events are realand a shadow of my life.
