1. Identify Your Motives

If you really want to get in better shape, you will need some clear motivation. Saying “It’s good for me” won’t cut it because that isn’t a clear enough explanation of why you would spend all that time working hard in the gym or running through your neighborhood. Think about the tangible benefits (which can be both physical and psychological) of getting in better shape. For example, you might want to fit into a specific outfit that is a bit too small right now, or you might want to get stronger to make it easier the next time you move apartments.
